Privacy policy

Roote Transit, Inc. operates rootetransit.com. This policy covers this marketing website. If your agency uses the Roote product itself, the agreement we sign with you governs the data in it — not this page.
The short version
rootetransit.com is a handful of static pages. It runs no advertising and carries no advertising or cross-site trackers. We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you. Apart from those counts, the only information we collect is what you type into the contact form, and we use it only to reply to you. We do not sell, rent or trade it.
What the contact form collects
When you submit the form, we receive:
- your name
- the agency or organization you entered
- your email address
- your message
- which button brought you here — "Book a walkthrough" or "Talk to the team" — so we know what you asked for
That is the whole list. Nothing else on the site asks you for information; the only other thing we record is the anonymous page-view count described under "Cookies and analytics" below.
Where it goes
- Our database. Submissions are stored in Cloudflare D1, on Cloudflare infrastructure in the United States.
- Our inbox. Each submission is also emailed to us through Resend, our email delivery provider, so that a message is never sitting in a database unread.
- Service logs. Cloudflare Workers Logs record what our code does. If storing or emailing a submission fails, we deliberately write the contents of that submission to the log so your message is not lost. Those logs are kept for about a week and then discarded.
IP addresses
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. Cloudflare processes your IP address to make that check. We do not store it — our database has no field for it.
Cookies and analytics
We set no cookies of our own. Page views are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-first measurement script served by Cloudflare: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not fingerprint you or follow you between sites. What it reports back to us is aggregate page-view metrics — how many visits each page received — and nothing that identifies you. There are no advertising trackers and no ad tech of any kind on this site, and because none of this needs your consent, there is no cookie banner. The Turnstile check on the contact page is served by Cloudflare as well and may set a short-lived cookie of its own while it verifies a submission; nothing of ours reads it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions until you ask us to delete them. Service logs age out on their own within about a week.
Asking us about your information
Email contact@rootetransit.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will confirm once it is done.
Who processes information for us
- Cloudflare — hosting, the database, the Turnstile spam check, the cookieless web analytics, and service logs. See the Cloudflare privacy policy .
- Resend — email delivery. See the Resend privacy policy .
Both act as service providers handling this information on our behalf, not as independent users of it. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell, rent or trade it to anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it.
